  1. The iPhone has more satellites but the GPS is far more accurate. The iphone has to connect to a tower then to to the satellites while the GPS only connects right to the satellites. This gives a better position and that is proven by the results shown on the article.

  2. I found this article about GPS to iPhones to be very interesting. It talked a lot about how the iPhone gets alot more horizontal accuracy then the GPS does. The GPS receives about 5 meters worth of horizontal accuracy while the iPhone receives a lot more than that. This is shown in the many different results that were posted in the article. The article also talked a lot about the hot spots that the iPhone receives while the GPS receives none.

  3. The iphone has much less room in the shell to hold anything that may improve the accuracy of the GPS. The GPS however, is entirely used as a GPS so it has more room for that stuff.

  4. I read recently in an article that GPS's are OUT. That made me mad because the article I just read proved my thoughts that GPS's are much better than the ones that phones provide. I have one and I love it. It is a lot easier to use than the one in my phone and it can hold mmore things than my phone because it is strictly for GPS purpuses. ...duh :)
